Getting to Know You Series: Black, White and in Between

Getting to Know You: A monthly series for
Collective listening, learning & wisdom
The world is diverse. A thriving world cultivates diversity.
Nurturing diversity begins with listening.

Session 3-

Black, White and in Between
A dialogue of reconciling patterns of
oppression, shame and silencing

Sept. 25, 1-2:30pm PDT Donation based, via Zoom

In this circle we focus on the color of skin and its interaction with our stories,
our listening and the way we relate to each other  in the world.

What is it to acknowledge our experience of color and go
beyond the trauma and the triggers to a conversation of the human soul?

To carry together the legacy of hurt, oppression, shame and silencing.
To step past political correctness to the fullness of story and
the healing that comes from being seen and deeply heard.

Humans have been practicing meaning-making through telling stories in a circle since the beginning of time. In this donation-based community series, we reclaim the art of storytelling and listening, from and through our hearts- by learning and growing together in this time of change.

This Sessions Storytellers are:
(including Hosts Irasha Talifero and Miriam Joy Jones)
